‘SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC’ will take place on 1 December and now opens for registration.

The eighth ‘SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC’ will take place in Hong Kong’s tallest building, the International Commerce Centre (ICC), on 1 December. With finish line of all race categories located on the sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck, this annual charity event encourages healthy living and promotes exercising for a good cause. The race features Elite, Individual and Team Relay categories, as well as Fun Climb programmes that are appropriate for families running for leisure. The finish line for all participants is located on the sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck. After finishing their run, participants can enjoy the spectacular 360-degree view of the stunning Hong Kong landscape while indulging in scrumptious food.

Hong Kong will again host the Vertical World Circuit Grand Finale. Elite runners from around the world will gather at ICC in Hong Kong racing up 2,120 steps for the world championship.

Committed to Building Homes with Heart, SHKP will donate all proceeds from the race, with no cost deduction, along to its top-up donations to support charity services for underprivileged children and young people. Together with top-up donations from SHKP, the event has generated over HK$41 million of donations over the years, benefitting tens of thousands of children and young people in need. This year’s proceeds will go to The Community Chest of Hong Kong and the SHKP Rainbow with KIDS project run by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. The project supports children who have undergone traumatic family crises. Donations to The Community Chest of Hong Kong will support children and youth services.

All race categories now open for registration. To encourage participants to start early preparation, an early-bird discount for registration is now offered until 27 September (excluding the Corporate Team Relay).
